You can end your contract with memberarea without opening your workspace. memberarea.io has a public cancellation page and a public withdrawal form. This article is about your own memberarea subscription. If one of your customers wants to withdraw from a purchase they made from you, that runs through the form on your own domain.
In the app or on the public page
If you can log in as the account owner, the quickest way is in the app: open Settings > Billing, click Cancel plan and confirm with Cancel subscription. Your plan ends with the period you paid for, the account owner receives a confirmation email, and Resume undoes the cancellation until then.
The public page is for everyone else: you cannot log in or you are not the account owner. It records your declaration and confirms it by email. It does not change your plan on the Billing page by itself. memberarea processes it and then confirms the end of your contract in a second email.
The cancellation page
The page is at memberarea.io/legal/cancellation. The footer of memberarea.io links to it as "Cancel contracts here". It is headed "Cancel your contract here". You do not need to log in, and you do not have to give a reason for an ordinary cancellation.

The form asks for:
- Type of cancellation: Ordinary cancellation or Extraordinary cancellation. For an extraordinary cancellation an extra field asks for the reason.
- Your name and Your email address. Use the email address of your platform account. The confirmation goes there.
- Optional: your postal address, your workspace or domain, a customer or invoice number, the date the contract should end and a message. Leave the date empty to cancel at the earliest possible date.
Give enough detail to identify your contract, for example your workspace
domain such as example.memberarea.io. Then click "Cancel now".
What you receive
The page then shows Your cancellation has been received with a
Reference in the form CNC- followed by eight characters, and the time
it was Received.
At the same time an email with the subject "Confirmation of receipt of your cancellation" goes to the address you entered. It says "we confirm that we received your cancellation on" followed by the date and time in UTC. It lists the reference, the type of cancellation, the contract and, if you gave one, the Requested end of contract. It closes with "Keep this email as proof of receipt. We will confirm the exact end of your contract separately."
Once your cancellation has been processed, a second email follows with the subject "Your cancellation has been processed". It reads "your contract ends on" followed by the date, and adds "You keep access until then, and no further payment is taken after that date." Both emails arrive in the language the page was shown in.
Withdrawing from your contract
The withdrawal instructions are at memberarea.io/legal/withdrawal. The Right of withdrawal link below the plan cards on the Billing page leads there as well. The page states: "You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract." If you withdraw, payments are refunded no later than 14 days after memberarea is informed.
When you order a paid plan, you ask memberarea to start the service before the withdrawal period ends. If you then withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount for the service already provided.
The form at the bottom of the page asks for Your name,
Your email address, optionally your workspace or domain, and a message.
Click "Confirm withdrawal". The page shows a Reference that starts with
WDR-. The email "Confirmation of receipt of your withdrawal" follows and
says: "This email only confirms that your declaration was received. Whether
the withdrawal is effective, for example whether it was made in time, will be
reviewed separately, and we will contact you about how it is handled."
By email or by post
You can also cancel or withdraw by email to support@memberarea.io or by letter to the postal address on both pages. A cancellation is effective as soon as it reaches memberarea.
