A new workspace starts with a free trial, so you can build your member area and invite your first members before you pay anything. This article explains how long the trial runs, what it includes and what happens when it ends.
What the trial includes
The trial lasts 14 days and runs on the Professional plan, with its features and limits. You do not need a credit card to start it.
While it runs, a banner at the top of the admin area reads Trial with the days left, and Upgrade next to it takes you to Billing. On the Billing page your plan carries the status Trialing with the same count. The banner is shown to everyone with access to the admin area, not to your members.

The affiliate program for your own members and products needs the Business plan, so it is not part of the trial.
One trial per person
The trial is tied to the person who creates the workspace. If you have already used a trial for another workspace, a new one you create starts without a trial, and you choose a plan to start working in it.
Choosing a plan during the trial
You can choose a plan at any time. Open Settings > Billing, pick a plan and confirm the order. If no card is on file yet, the Payment method dialog opens so you can add one and finish the payment with Save card. A lifetime plan is paid on a Stripe payment page instead.
Your remaining trial days stay when you order. The first charge happens when the trial ends.
Only the account owner can choose a plan.
There is nothing to cancel
If you decide not to continue, you do not have to do anything. The trial ends by itself, and no payment is taken because there is no subscription yet. The Billing page therefore shows no Cancel plan button during the trial.
When the trial ends
At the end of the 14 days your workspace moves to a restricted state, and the account owner receives an email that the trial has ended. In this state:
- Your content, members and settings are safe and nothing gets deleted.
- Creating new content is paused.
- Your public checkout does not accept new orders.
- Your members keep full access.
The banner changes to Trial ended. Creating new content is paused. If Payments is switched on in your workspace, it adds that taking orders is paused too. Upgrade now leads to Choose a plan to continue, which lists the monthly and yearly plans. Pick one with Choose and you land on Billing with the order dialog for that plan already open.

Someone without the owner role sees Only the account owner can choose a plan. on that page, and the Choose buttons stay disabled. Ask the owner to finish the order.
If no plan is chosen within 60 days
The restricted state lasts 60 days after the trial ended. If no plan has been chosen by then, admin access to the workspace is paused. Admin pages lead to Your subscription has ended, with Reactivate plan and Log out as the only ways forward. The Billing page stays open, so you can still pick a plan and get back in right away.
Your content and data stay safe in this state too. Choosing a plan unlocks the workspace again.
