ManyChat and your memberarea are connected in up to three places. Each one can be switched off on its own:
| What you switch off | What stops |
|---|---|
| A page under ManyChat app connections | Events no longer start flows on that page. |
| The API key in your memberarea | Every MemberArea step in your ManyChat flows. |
| The ManyChat API key in the integration | The ManyChat actions in your automations. |
Your members, contacts, tags, access and orders stay untouched in every case.
Stop events for one page
- Open Settings, then Integrations, and open ManyChat.
- Under ManyChat app connections, press the trash icon (Remove page) next to the page.
- Confirm. The dialog warns that events in your memberarea stop starting flows for this page.

The page disappears from the list, and so do its triggers, the events that started flows on it. Steps inside your flows keep working, because they use the API key, not the App Key.
The links between subscribers and people stay. If you connect the same page again later with a fresh App Key, every event finds the same people as before.
A page that switched off by itself
If ManyChat refuses the App Key, for example because the app was removed from the page there, your memberarea switches the page off instead of retrying. The page stays in the list as Disconnected, with the note "ManyChat refused the App Key for this page, so the connection was switched off." Paste a fresh App Key to switch it back on, or press the trash icon to drop it.

Stop all MemberArea steps
The steps in your flows sign in with the API key from your memberarea. To stop them all at once:
- Open Settings, then API.
- Open the key you created for ManyChat and press Delete.
From that moment every step answers "This ManyChat connection is not signed in to a MemberArea." The flows themselves stay in ManyChat. To remove the steps from the flow builder too, uninstall the MemberArea app in ManyChat.
To switch to a new key instead, create it first, paste it into the app settings in ManyChat, and only then delete the old one. Nothing in your flows needs rebuilding.
Remove the ManyChat API key from automations
- Open Settings, then Integrations, and open ManyChat.
- Press Disconnect.
This removes the ManyChat API key right away, without a second question. The pages under ManyChat app connections are not affected: if you still have some, the integrations page shows them in a box with Manage.

Automations that still contain a ManyChat action keep running, but that step fails in the run history with "No ManyChat connection is selected on this step." Remove the step, or connect a key again and open the step once more. Using ManyChat actions in automations covers connecting a key.
