A location is a place where something happens: a room with an address, a meeting link or a phone number. You save it once under Locations and then pick it on every event that takes place there. When the address or the link changes, you correct it in one spot.
Adding a location
- Open Settings > Locations.
- Click New Location. On an empty page the button sits in the middle of the page.
- Enter a Name, for example "Studio Berlin" or "Weekly Zoom". Members see this name on the event.
- Pick a Type and fill in the fields it asks for.
- Click Create.
The types
- Link asks for a Url, for example a web page or a recording.
- Address asks for Street address and optionally Address line 2, City, Postal Code, State and Country. Only the street is required.
- Call asks for a Phone number.
- Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco Webex Meeting, Discord, TeamViewer, Zoho Meeting and GoTo Meeting ask for the Meeting Url. The type adds the matching logo next to the location.
Using a location on an event
When you create or edit an event, Location offers URL, In person and To be announced. For the first two, Location details lists your saved locations. If the place is new, New Location in that list creates it right there, and it is then saved here as well.
Members see the location on the event. An event whose location is a web address opens it in a new tab when members click Join under Live now.
Saved locations also appear in the library under Navigation, so a meeting link that members use every week can sit in their menu.
Editing and deleting
The table shows the Name, the Type and the Value, which is the address or the link. The search field above the table finds locations by name, street or city.
Open a location with the menu at the end of its row:
- Edit opens the form. A change applies to every event that uses the location.
- Delete removes the location after you confirm. Events that used it stay, but lose their location details. Check those events and pick a new place.
Who can manage locations
The page needs Update Platform Settings, and creating, changing or deleting a location needs Manage Locations. Owner and Admin have both.
