Design decides how your platform looks: the logo, the colors, the font and where the navigation sits. A platform in your own brand feels like your product rather than a tool you rent, and members recognize it at a glance.
To save changes here, your role needs Manage Platform Design in addition to access to Settings. Owner and Admin have both. The Community tab is the exception, see below.
The tabs
Design is split into Branding, Layout, Login & Registration, Loading Screen, Community, Courses and Video Player. The first two shape the whole platform; the others style one area each.
Logo and favicon
Under Branding, Logo and Favicon each take two images: one for Light Mode and one for Dark Mode. Click a tile to pick an image from your media library.

- The logo works best as SVG or PNG in a 5:1 ratio, ideally 1000 x 200 px.
- The favicon works best as SVG or PNG in a 1:1 ratio, ideally 512 x 512 px.
The favicon is the small icon in the browser tab and the mark on the loading screen. The Light Mode logo is also the logo of your system emails, until you set a separate one for them.
Colors for light and dark mode
Color holds four colors for each mode: Primary, Text, Highlight and Background. Each is a six-digit hex value such as #0084FF.
When you change the primary color, a hint offers Match the background to your primary color. Apply adds 2% of your primary color to the page background, so it carries a faint tint of your brand. Dismiss keeps the background as it is.
Why both palettes matter
Every person switches between light and dark on their own, with Darkmode in their account menu. New accounts start in light mode. You cannot choose the mode for your members, so check that your logo, text and background read well in both. The Light/Dark Mode button above the preview switches it for you while you work.
Font and avatars
Typography sets one font family for the entire platform. Search fonts filters the list, and each entry shows a sample line in that font. Out of the box the platform uses Roboto.
Member Avatars chooses the shape of profile pictures everywhere: Round or Square.
Layout
Layout controls the frame around every page.
- Navigation position: Sidebar (left) is the classic vertical menu, Top bar puts the menu across the top with full-width content, and Top combined shows a meta bar on top with the main menu as a mega menu beneath.
- Sidebar appears only with Sidebar (left) and offers Light, Dark, Glass and Accent.
- Header is either Animated, a colored band with slowly drifting shapes, or Still, a plain bar on the page background.
- Card Style sets how much cards lift off the background: Flat, Default or Elevated.
- Corners rounds buttons and boxes in five steps from None to Round.
- Glass Tint and Glass Blur control the frosted-glass surfaces such as headers, flyout panels and dropdowns: how opaque they are and how much they blur what lies behind them.

A new platform starts with Sidebar (left), a Light sidebar, an Animated header, Flat cards and Medium corners.
Preview, reset and save
The Preview next to Branding and Layout shows a sample page with your current choices before you save. Switch between Desktop and Mobile, toggle Light/Dark Mode or open it in Full Screen.
Once a section differs from the default, it shows Reset. Confirming with Reset in the Reset to default dialog puts that section back to the default values in the form. Nothing is stored until you save.
Save with Save in the bar at the bottom. The new colors, font and corners apply right away, without reloading the page.
Login page and loading screen
Login & Registration styles the pages people see before they sign in. Choose a layout, Card or Split screen, a Card style and the Logo type: Logo, Favicon or None. Background images and texts are set per page in the same tab.
Loading Screen sets the animation shown while your platform loads. Under Loading Style you pick one of six: Aurora, Pulse, Tiles, Skeleton, Ring and Constellation. Aurora is the default, and Replay in the preview plays your choice again.
Set the favicon before you pick a loading style. Every style builds the animation around it.
Community, courses and the video player
The last three tabs style one area each. Community and Courses set the Header Layout of those pages along with Header Settings for the chosen design. The Community tab only saves while Community is turned on under Settings > Features, and it needs Manage Community Settings instead of Manage Platform Design. Video Player covers the Control bar layout, Rounded corners, the Control backdrop and Player extras for every video across your platform.
