Threads uses your Instagram identity but is a separate product with a separate approval. That is why it can be pending while Instagram already works.
What you need on your account
- A Threads account, which means an Instagram account: Threads is created from one.
- The same professional account requirement as Instagram.
Connecting it
- Open Social Media, then Channels.
- Click Connect on the Threads tile.
- Confirm on Meta's screen.
What it can do
- Text posts
- One image or one video per post
- Scheduling and the calendar
- Replies in the inbox
What it cannot do yet
- Threads of several posts in a row
- Polls
- Quote posts
When it does not work
The tile says Approval pending. Meta has not cleared Threads for us yet. It is a separate approval from Instagram and takes its own weeks.
